Power Sensing
Essence: forceful drive to dominate the social field, seize and hold what is desired, and bend others to one's will.
Clear-eyed assessment of power positions, followed by decisive action to secure resources, rank, and territory. A strong instinct for hierarchy - who yields, who commands, who competes, who is irrelevant. What is claimed is held and defended with force. Relations are fundamentally competitive: the world selects for the strongest.
Manifests as domineering, kinetic, and uninhibited behavior.
Informational Level: proprioceptive weighing of force, resistance, power differentials, haptic-spatial precision, felt read of strong and weak points in persons and objects.
Social Level: coercion, subjugation, intimidation, enforcement of obedience, informal power center, cultural and moral limiters inoperative.
Psychological Level: unshakeable self-certainty, fearlessness, enjoyment of others' submission and fear, possessive instinct, spite, uninhibited sexuality, high pain threshold, entitlement to what is desired.
Physical Level: hardened mobilized body, imposing presence, heavy assessing gaze, decisive single-motion movement, firmly grounded yet rotationally agile, sharp fast interaction with external objects.
In stillness, this function presents as calm, unhurried, unperforming self-certainty. No fidgeting, no seeking reassurance, no display. The person knows, with immediate realistic accuracy, whether in this situation they command or must yield - and rests in that knowledge without friction. Settled solidity, an absence of fuss, a room owned without announcement. When a provocation crosses the threshold, the transition is instant - stored force releases into action without deliberation. The emotion in action is contempt: I am above, you are below, in all cases.
Extreme manifestations: vindictiveness, greed, dehumanizing tribalism, despotism, sadism.
Politician (+): asserts dominance through sheer projection of authority, energy, and social capital. Displays how significant, connected, and resourceful they are - making clear that refusing or ignoring them is not a realistic option. Claims leadership by force of presence and volume rather than strategic calculation, overwhelming others with the abundance of what they represent.

Marshal (−): instinctively reads the situation before committing - quickly locating where the other is exposed - then applies decisive pressure to that specific vulnerability. Fearless and efficient, never wasting force on an unlocated target. Dominance is achieved through precision rather than display.
